About Shakya & Rishi:
Rishi & Shakya are two true musical jack-of-all-trades. As a duo, they complement each other perfectly with their musical diversity. Rishi is a stunning, versatile percussionist, drummer and trance dance teacher who has been making music in the spiritual scene all his life and has played with musicians like Snatam Kaur, Praful, Prem Joshua, Milarepa and many others. Shakya, a multi-instrumentalist and music producer, with his wide range of harmonic and melodic instruments, knows how to turn on the dancers on the level beyond pure rhythms with his sense of heartfelt sounds, seductive melodies as well as gritty sounds. He has performed with musicians such as Tina Malia, Dave Stringer, Satyaa & Pari, Nessi Tausendschön and others.
They surf together - spontaneously improvised - through all styles, rhythms, keys and atmospheres and play joyfully with the sounds, always in dialogue with the dancers. A feast for your ears, a seduction for your legs and balm for your soul.
